Sen. Rand Paul tests positive for coronavirus
Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., became the first U.S. senator to test positive for the coronavirus Sunday and will remain in quarantine, his staff announced.

"He is feeling fine and is in quarantine,” Paul's staff tweeted Sunday afternoon. “He is asymptomatic and was tested out of an abundance of caution due to his extensive travel and events. He was not aware of any direct contact with any infected person.”
There are and will be soooo many people just like this. This is what I refer to as being vulnerable because we are surrounded by thousands of microbes every day. Many won't get tested so they will never know it. This is the intangible that has to be taken into account when "they" try to give you % of death information. It is literally impossible to be accurate. It is though possible to make people 100% scared and over-reactive.
For that reason and that reason alone, maybe. Are they planning on mailing out a flu test kit to everyone every year too though after this ends? This is why we should be, as soon as capacity makes it possible, mailing people tests. If we can test the DNA of people via mail, we can send out mail kits.
Everyone needs to be tested, so we can understand the spread.
I disagree Doc. Many, many people are aware, care, prudent in their actions, and not afraid. There is a difference. It is though 100 % possible to make people scared, neurotic and over-reactive.

But Corona death is worser. You live or you die. Thats life.
Nothing wrong with being aware and being reasonably precautious, ESPECIALLY if you are vulnerable. However if you are walking around in your teens, middle age, etc. and have been taking care of yourself and are a healthy individual, even seeing these people walking around with masks and making sure they are 6 feet away from others at all times is media driven fear and over reaction IMHO. As I mentioned a number of times, if germs caused disease we would all be dead already.I disagree Doc. Many, many people are aware, care, prudent in their actions, and not afraid. There is a difference.

FIFYYou live and then you die. Thats life.
Glad he is doing well and I'm sorry he's got a lot going on. Please don't take what I'm about to say the wrong way. The fact that he has those problems as well as many many people in society is the main issue. That is the root cause that then leads people to fear the "what if's" related to any virus or bacteria. As a whole, our society doesn't truly understand what health is AND is obviously going about things the wrong way.I mean, personally, I agree if you're in good health you'll probably be ok. If anything my help keeps improving the better I eat and sleep and more weight I lose. I have more energy than I ever thought I'd need.
I'm personally more concerned about my father as he's high BP, diabetic, and COPD. But, that being said, he's doing pretty good on all those conditions in managing them.
You live or you die. Thats life.
Yes, in individuals that are compromised in some way.Well, some germs do cause sickness in certain individuals, that is a fact.
Speaking of, I see 2-6" tomorrow lol.Hopefully with out to much snow shoveling.

Oh, I know many people compromised in many ways. Health should be the priority though. For many sadly, it isn't. You reap what you sow.Everyone is compromised in some way or another.

Some not soon enough. You live or you die. Thats life.
