I'm looking to buy a rangefinder. It has to have "scan" mode, compensate for angles because I bowhunt, and have a range of at least 600 yards. I'll end up buying one in the next week or two if nobody has one they're looking to get rid of.

Not sure why you need angle compensation. Not sure why anyone would need it around here. Anyways, you want what you think you might need, so you buy it. I use to own a high end Nikon range finder (expensive) about 7 or 8 years ago. Didnt use it much so sold it. Well obviously I did have quite a need for it while chuck hunting, so I looked into buying another one. I found another Nikon for cheap and it had great reviews. Bought it and have used it a bunch of times now. All I can say is the thing works awesome and better then the high end one I use to own. I love it. So if you are considering purchasing a unit or anyone else is. This is a great cheap little unit.

Bowhunting. Drop becomes significant beyond 25 or 30 yards depending on how fast your setup is. If you use a 40 yard pin on a shot that lasers at 40 but is at 45deg you'll be high. Hit 'em high, say goodbye.

Elevation compensation is a HUGE factor when bow hunting.
As has been said, angle compensation is important when bowhunting. Let's say you're shooting out of a treestand and aiming 40° down. That's a steep shot, but not unreasonable. You range the deer at 45 yards, which is a doable shot for a competent archer. If you settle your 40 yard pin at the top of the deer's shoulder blade, you're going to totally miss the deer, spine it, or have one hell of a time tracking it because you hit it so high. You should have been aiming the deer like it was 35 yards away.
