Re-cert “reminder letters”

Just out of curiosity, has anyone in Westchester ever gotten a “reminder” letter that it was time to re-certify their permit?

I’m asking because I recently sent in an amendment around the time that my permit re-cert was due and I asked the clerks office about re-certifying and was told that I would get a letter a couple months before it was due.

But then the last line was that even if I didn’t get a reminder it was my responsibility to send in my paperwork on time.

Of course I never got the reminder. I re-cert anyway, but it just got me thinking if that reminder is actually ever sent out.

Halfway through the initial reminder sending campaign the NYSP stopped sending letters. No rhyme reason, explanation. Of all the western countries, they have all made it clear, this is a NYSP problem and NOT a county pistol permit office problem.

Fill out the form manually and wet the stamp with a juicy wet fart.

I don't recall hearing anything about that. I'm in an 'eastern' county I suppose, but everyone I knew who had a permit prior to 2013 got one last year (me included). or was it 2 years ago ?..I can't remember.. but I suppose it must have been.

Erie County permit office clerk stated at a SCOPE meeting this was something he was getting feedback on from EC residents. He Xref it with other western countries and this was what was happening.

it would be my guess that NO letter would be sent, if they remind everyone, there is no way they have a legal means to arbitrarily revoke your permit
