Let’s not look a gift horse in the mouth. The law is egregious enough that even Roberts would grant cert and take it to the Supreme Court. That would set a helpful precedent.

I don’t think it will pass for one reason. Andy Cuomo. He just chased two insurance companies out of NYS. He is getting sued and publicly said it was insurance to commit crimes.
It kind of shines a light on the hypocrisy.
If it does pass , it could put the whole Sullivan law process on trial and it’s costs.
And unlike Obama carevwhich had a tax if you didn’t get insurance, this denies a right as determined by Heller. Big time risk for their side.
I think they will see it’s not worth the risk.
