Reasons Not To Buy A Glock !

Can I ask why you have multiples of the same gun? I'm not judging, just curious as to the reason. I thought about getting another 43 so I have one for EDC, and one for PPC even it starts. That way I wouldn't have to remove the laser every week.

Yeah I get asked that a lot. With my job I’m a big believer in identical backups for the backup and it carries over to my guns.
1st I really like the 19
One 19 is my main edc. One is in bdrm safe with light attached. Since I have a long ranch house the other 19 is in a safe at opposite end from bdrm close to the main door. Multiple extra mags in between.
43 was a on a whim buy and also thought my wife might like it. She could care less. So I started to play with it and found that I can shoot that little gun as good as the 19. It now has its place as a carry gun for when I’m more dressed up especially when going out for dinner when I know will be eating too much as it takes up less room because I aiwb. That 43 has a tlr-6 mounted on it. Other 43 is my pocket gun.
I also found I like the different colors. 19 in black and bfg. 43 in bfg and fde

I can tell you my reason ....
Modularity allows for easy repurpose of the gun.
Can share the same gun and mags with the family...and ammo in the most popular pistol
On the planet.
Should anything go wrong that is pretty rare you can service one gun with parts from another.
I do that with rifles that I like too. Buy two or three of the same at the same time if the deal is good. Ar this point I can make sure I have the equipment for any contingency and all share the same mags and ammo so I can scale with less money and less headaches.
Glocks have unparallel support and aftermarket so if you want to do other calibers or configurations you can many times easily and inexpensivelly. Same with the AR. Folks should have a couple or 3 in 5.56 and then whatever other uppers/ calibers. Same with a couple of saigas or aks in 308 or 5.56.

All these firearms are so popular and reliable that are the backbone for any role any time.

That makes perfect sense. May just grab another 43 so I can have one without a laser.

Just not a glock person. I dont drool over having to have one. Iam a ruger guy. I drool over rugers. LOL

I liked my 19 until I came to the realization that it was the Corolla of the gun world. Then I sold it, however it wasn't a bad gun. My only problem with Glock is they never innovate.

My Glock 19 is undoubtedly one of my most boring-looking pistols. But, I've used it in many pistol training courses and it is my go-to home defense pistol.

Personally, in a self defense pistol, I don't need innovation. I need reliable function. I've got several firearms that I "play with" at the range which I wouldn't necessary reach for in a self-defense situation.

When I'm in a locale where I'm permitted to carry, I go with the Glock 43 IWB, too.

Some say the glocks are plasticky
some they say they are ugly
what is uglier are the holes they make w/o skipping a beat.
Gaston Glock was a tool maker not a gunsmith.
He designed and made a tool that delivers bullets w/o stopping.
Glock changed the way all pistols are made today, you know, the reliable ones.

..and that is how the glock and magazines became the most popular on the planet.
They are essentially the AKs of the pistols but better.

This is the reality of the situation regardless of our personal opinions.

If you don't like reliability, dependability and versatility, do not buy a Glock.

I used to own a Glock 19. Very reliable. They do make a great pistol. Just never liked the way it fit my hand. Thought that I could get use to it but couldn't. Sold it for exactly what I paid for it.
