Red dot vs Green Dot

Who here has had both? Tell me what your experiences are? Which one do you see better?

have neither in a dot scope .. but have a actual rifle scope with with green illuminated raticle .. it was actually great when yote hunting with a green light .. i thought it would have been washed out with green on green .. but is was really clear to me ..

Cool. I’m leaning on getting a green one. Many reports say it’s easier to pick up in bright sunlight. Was it hard to pick up the green foliage?

it was winter with snow on the ground when i did the yote hunt and at like 1am .. .. but everything was clear in the scope and the radicle was too with the area being lite up with green light .. the set up for me works .. just didnt see any yotes or even a mouse .

Was researching a while back Wheeler laser bore sighters, they make a red and a green. The green ones get way better reviews, easier to see in lighted conditions.

I've got a scope that can switch between a red and green reticle. The green is easier to see in daylight. At night it's equal.

Green dots are a lot easier for the human eye to see. I have several green lasers mounted on pistols and one green dot sight on a rifle. I prefer the green to the red especially in bright daylight.

Green is easier to find in bright light, and day time, red is easier on your night vision in the dark.

I have red and green lasers and have compared them in both settings.

No issues seeing green against foliage.

I am a huge fan of the Vortex red/green dots for my AR's. Love both colors. The green really pops in daylight. Not too many issues when looking at foilage.

Back in my early days of bowhunting when I used a compound bow I Always preferred the green fiber optic sight pins. They showed up 10x better in the woods in low light conditions.

Well pretty soon once things get better and I gets me another rifle, I’m looking on putting this on.

I'm colorblind so take this with a grain of salt. I see the green much better than red. My Holosun 503 is red and I see it good but have to have it turned up brighter than you would I would imagine. In foliage red can be a real bitch for me. Green, not so bad.

Also, a little playing around with my Sightmark Photon, definitely like the green reticle much better.
