So a 16 year old kid made a threat online and they got a red flag order to take guns, of any, and search the home. They searched the home and arrested the kid. Kid is charged with making threats and possession of firearms. Then two other adults were charged with possession of the same two firearms? How can three people be charged with illegally posing the same two firearms? The kid or one of the adults had possession of them not all three.
It’s so worth noting that the kid was released almost immediately so now he can comity his planned crime and all we will hear about is how it’s the guns fault.
I’m glad the threat was taken seriously and the kid is being monitored or getting help, but seriously this doesn’t seem right to me or like a good way to handle this. The kids either a danger or not so he should not be released right?

Red flag law used as Buffalo teen charged following online school threat
