These guys have small pistol primers in stock.
$10 per box - limit of 5 per day.
Who is this? I don't do Facebook.
It is quite the journey, but I have family that lives in the area and they will pick up and hold until I see them.
Saw one of those sites and almost jumped at the chance. A gut feeling and the old saying "if it looks too good to be true" saved me from learning an expensive lesson the hard way. What powder is it, btw? I'll keep an eye out for you if you keep a similar eye out for me for an 8 lbs jug of Longshot. While you're mentioning this, I was on a mission for 8lbs of a particular powder last night. Any site that had it in stock turned out to be a Zelle or Venmo only site. Searches of their site proved them to be scammers.
Some may know Hodgdon has a direct sale site. That is Hodgdon.com. I accidentally ended up on Hodgdon.org, which looked almost identical, except for the address. Beware.
I have a couple of pounds of Longshot that I would sell if you are desperate.Saw one of those sites and almost jumped at the chance. Thanks a lot, I appreciate it, but I still have a couple lbs and backup powders. It just works perfect for my needs, so an 8# jug or two would be perfect to have on-hand.I have a couple of pounds of Longshot that I would sell if you are desperate.
My 52 F3 with the big flat head V8 wouldn’t do 50 of a cliff…you can walk faster than the granny gear, 5:13 gears in the rear endScrew all that, I want the truck!

Varget? I haven't seen Varget in the wild in years.Davis in Sloatsburg had some of every primer on Sunday. Powders were limited to H110, H1000, IMR4064, IMR4895, Varget, and one other I can't remember. The ammo stock looked solid as well.

I didn't see it with my own two eyes, but it was on their printout of powders in stock. I bought two lbs of IMR 4064 myself and didn't take the last jug. I also saw several lbs of IMR 4895 in that cabinet even though I don't remember it being listed on their in-stock sheet.Varget? I haven't seen Varget in the wild in years.
Wow, that's what I call highway robberyI bought 100 small rifle primers for $25, just to get some to do a 100 rd batch of .300 Blackout, but I seem to recall the large pistol and large rifle primers being cheaper than the small rifle/pistol, but there were also small (rifle or pistol, don't remember) match primers for $300 for 1,000. I'd call ahead to ask before heading over.

Actually regret not asking for the Varget. Looks like I'd have gotten pretty similar velocities in my .270 for a couple grains less of powder.
Nice load and great results. I worked up a hunting load for this season of a 130 grain Hornady Interlock over a middle weight charge of IMR4955 for 2955 fps. I'm sure it'll work as well as any factory .270 load. Looking at my chrono readings from the ladder test, with 4 rounds out of a 22" barrel, that load gave me an ES of 22 fps, a standard deviation of 9.5, and shot 1.1" at 100 yards..270 win with Varget ? ..
after i bought a box of this ..
i use the IMR 4350 and the SC ( short cut ) version ..
and use the

if i remember the max load for hunting is like 3300 fps with 4350 and is a compressed load ..
