I took my youngest daughter to Seneca Gun Sports this morning and as she was trying on different rifles all the sudden she lowered one and she had a big grin on her face. I turned to the clerk and said that one! My little girls first hunting rifle.

The scope is a "came with the rifle" and not much good but as soon as she starts put bullets in the same hole with that I will get her a nice Vortex mil-dot and get to teaching her how to use it then she will be in good shape......

I don’t mind price within reason and they treated my little girl like she was the boss they have an indoor range you can shoot all guns at I believe because they offered it to me. PS I prefer “mom and pop” stores over box store and clerks that don’t know ft/s from ft/lbs!
That's awesome. Yeah I live down in elmira, prices arent great in this area (no competition leads to sellers market) I always check their website and just cant seem to understand why a new and used glock 26 or 19 cost the same. But at the same time they really are some of the friendliest people around in the gun business.
And glad to hear your daughter had a good (first time?) Buying experience vs all those horror stories (some I've seen first hand) on how many other (not this area) gun shops treat new or first time buyers and or women

Nice choice. I have had the same rifle for many years now and never had any problems with it. I put the Nikon Prostaff 5 scope in 2.5-10 x 50 BDC and the XLR Element chassis on it. The farthest target I have shot was 488 yards and it is pinpoint accurate. Your daughter should be an excellent shooter very soon with that gun.
