Anyone have thoughts on these ? Good or bad, Pros and cons...
Tired of dropping rounds in the dark and snow when out varmint hunting. Driving around to multiple set ups, loading and unloading, hands are cold I need a better option.

Considering the price they charge for mags I'd go with something AICS compatible so you can take advantage of cheaper polymer mags.

I own 4 of the magpul polymer 5 round mags and 1 of the tens. I haven't yet had an issue yet

Yes! for 308 the AI is pretty much the standard. Since started using the AI there is not going back. Accurate mags are very strong too.
I don't know about the magpul AI bottom plate/system but I am guessing it should be fine specially for civilian use. I have used badger,
PT and other I forgot but some of those are expensive.
Do a bit more research on magpul. The ruger scout mags should also be compatible since they are AI but I think magpul
are hard to beat in the polymer world.

pt&g ( link in my post above) has a bottom metal that accepts AR mags.

The only thing with the PT SA (I have one) is that it will not take all the AI magazines.
Nothing huge but if one has, lets say a ruger scout, and want to use the promag ones they will not go in due to the
outside ribs. They will catch in the extended body / flaps of the PT design.
The 223 work fine too. Just need to mill a few thousands from the action bottom rails to allow for some mags to work reliably.
So also count on that.

Whenever you buy an expensive magazine system also attach a stop (unless it comes integrated) so if you shoot sported on a fence or a barricade will not end up
smashing the magazine. I learned that the hard way with expensive lapua magnum magazines.

Well I decided to go with the Wyatt, while I was at it bought a new stock, Bell & Carlson M40 to replace the original. While it looks nice the original was not what I needed as this is going to pretty much be my predator rig when done.

I chose the tan/black web.

The bottom plate/mag well fit well. I cycled a few mags without any feeding issues.

The magazines appear to be well made and they should for the price.

Next will be my first try at bedding the action.
I think after the season is over its going in for some custom work, any recommendations?

I had the Wyatt and sent it back and got the Badger Ordnance (or was it HS Precision?). The Wyatt magazine would detach when you pulled the trigger. I bought the Wyatt to save $50; but as they say you get what you pay for. Midway USA took it back no questions asked, so if you do go Wyatt do it through them.

Worst case hopefully where you bought it will let you send it back for credit towards a Badger or HS Precision. It's just they made the stupid release inside the guard and so sensitive - I think that's why the mag ejects. A machinist buddy of mine tried his magic but it was just a suck design and it's cheap pot metal on the spot he would have wanted to tweak. And it was a decade ago so maybe they wised up and fixed their design flaw?

I finally got done with this. Bedded the action with Acra bed from Brownells, not at all difficult, prep is the key here IMO. Added new scope mount, Seekins Precision Picatinny rail, SP Rings, skim bedded this with JB Weld, it actually fit well before but decided to try this for the first time also. Again prep and going slow made it a pretty simple job. for both of these I followed a couple YouTube vids.
Installed the Wyatts DBM, cycled a few rounds through both mags, no problems with feeding so decided to give it a go.
After 3 adjustments on the scope I'm satisfied with the results, even though it was windy and raining, gusts at 20-25 mph my final 100 yard group was just over 1 inch. Not the best but I kinda hurried myself due to weather and I was running out of daylight, probably should've waited for better weather but hey, I wanted to shoot it !! I'm confident that in better weather conditions I can shrink this considerably. Shot from my deck on the bench with sandbags. Going to find time to run a few more groups before getting out for preds next week.
Never had a problem with mags releasing as was mentioned, actually they go in/out a little harder than I would like but I'm thinking they may loosen up some. They seemed to actually work better when I installed and released them a couple times.

Overall I'm very happy with my work and end result, It's very satisfying doing things like this yourself. Next I have a .308 in the same configuration that I will be working on next, just need to figure out it's purpose. Probably will make this into more of a target/bench rifle as I have enough hunting rifles for what I need caliber wise.

Great job. I agree preparation is the key to make the job easier. Also there is do much time one has once the epoxy is mixed.
How much material did you remove from the aluminum bed? Or you just did recoil lug + skim bedding?

I did not remove anything, even though that stock is cut for the varmint barrel it was still just barely able to slip a piece of paper under the entire barrel.
So I just put a light skim coat between the action and block.

That is ok. I think a light coat makes sense as soon as you know where to apply it and keep it stress free during curing.
The recoil lug is independent but also not so critical with something like a 223.
IMO The B&C is pretty good in terms of inlet consistency and uniformity.
Of all the budget stocks this is the only one I trust with comparable results to the most expensive stocks in the market.
Glad you are getting in the zone with your rifle.

I did do the recoil lug, put tape on the front and bottom, this part I was worried about when it was done curing but it came right out and it is nice and snug to the rear of it.

As you said "not so critical with the .223", after shooting it yesterday I never felt it move, the rifle is right around 11 pounds as configured.

I meant bedding the recoil lug solid with a 223 vs. lets say a 308 or even a 300 win mag.
but if you did the recoil lug with a 223 it can only help. Just not as critical.
