Removing lead nose from 30 caliber bullet

I'm in the progress of taking apart very old 7.5 french ammo to deprime and put new primers in.

The one thing I noticed was that the 30 caliber bullets are lead nosed and they are deformed. If I was to chop off the lead nose and made it a flat nose would this be reusable or should I not bother and just toss them?

If you want to chop them off then you may as well just use them deformed. At least the weights will be consistent.

Toss them in a can and save, lead always comes in handy to have! You just don't know how handy because you've never had or used it.
Why not just drop the hammer on each round, then you only have to pull the ones that fail to fire?
