He first move from LA in sunny CA, was to NJ to get in to politics while being hosted by a NYC metro law firm. After Trump became the GOP flag bearer, Delgado was soon convinced he should move to NY19 to run for office. He was in Dutchess less than a month before his campaign committee was formed, anti gun money started flowing in, and he announced his candidacy. His primary opponents indicated his first opportunity he took to cast a vote in the district was to vote for himself.

Would not suprise me. On her personal Twitter account, when she giddily referred to Delgado winning the democratic primary, she used the word "WE" won even though more than one primary candidate was brought in, funded, and endorsed by the Bloomberg, Everytown, and Moms Demand crew.

Well, I give him some credit for going to a pro-gun group (at least SCOPE used to be pro-gun before they descended into endless internal bullshit). I live in his district and all I see online is him PROUDLY proclaiming that he won't take a dime of NRA money (I'd be shocked if he was ever offered NRA money) and how he wants to get "assault weapons" out of the hands of those who shouldn't have them (read: military and police only). All about the universal background checks too. He's in a nominally purple district so he won't go so far as Beto did and call for outright confiscation but he is most certainly not pro-gun nor is he pro-Second Amendment.
He'll make the rounds with groups like SCOPE, probably NYSRPA, and even hit up a few gun clubs to get the Fudd vote. He'll be able to say, "See guys, I don't want to take your over-under shotgun or your bolt action deer rifle away. No one needs more than 10 boolits to kill a deer ya know?"

After reading that article it's clear to me that he's just another grabber, though, perhaps a soft spoken one. Still, I give him some props for going to the meeting. This isn't a constituency that will ever vote for him.

Delgado is not a soft spoken gun grabber. More than once I have been backstage where he regrouped after an event. After the press is clear from a Q&A, he mocks and belittles the constituents he just played. He is an arrogant, dishonest, conceited, condescending two-faced asshole. I have also spoke to some LEOs who were assigned security backstage and they saw the same conceited arrogance.
