Had to raise standard 32x80 door about 1-1/2" to work with new laminate flooring.

I hate putting doors in. Especially mine they are custom for my front door. Width is 42” and height is 91”. A screen door is $1500. So I need to make one eventually. I rehabbed mine.

Almost done have to pick up a small piece of molding for the laminate floor and some paint to touch up wall. Grabbed what I thought was right color to touch up a spot that got damaged pulling old casing off wall and it was the wrong color lol. Had to put a small casing on top of the brick molding as old door was wider on outside (same door width but the old framing was thicker than what they use today).

I would change the deadbolt to a double keyed set. That way nobody can punch through the glass and unlock it.

One piece of glass. If they want in, that deadbolt isn't going to stop them. Greater risk of not being able to get it open in a panic situation such as a fire.

let them get in, they ain’t getting out that way without going through the window. I use double headed deadbolts on ever door that has glass in it or near it. If they come In through the window they are not leaving through the door.

i also use door blockers to prevent the doors being kicked in.

I don't think homeowner is that concerned about it she leaves the door open (yes opened not unlocked) while she's at work so her dogs can get outside lol...

Yeah after being in the Army for 20 years and working for them for 17 on top of that I don’t trust anyone that much or leave anything unsecured.
