To remove the VP, she would have to be impeached (Article 2 section 4). The VP could also resign or die. Those are pretty much the only ways we are getting rid of Kamala.

I'm sure they have enough leverage to force a resignation from her if they wanted. Or they just have some kind of deal worked out with her to resign and it was the plan all along.
Unless the plan is Biden to step down, inaugurate the hoe and then replace the VP vacancy
I think this is all inside the beltway gossip. I can't see it happening even if she is as bad as everyone says. The party that has invested so much into identity politics can't really remove a woman of color.

There are a number of reasons this is being talked about now, and I'd bet the real reason isn't what they're talking about. Maybe the republicans are looking to sow discord. Maybe the deepstaters are done with their useful idiot and want a change, or they think Brandon is in steep decline and they want someone who isn't a moron lined up to take the big boy seat.

On the other hand, I have read that Kennedy was seriously considering removing LBJ from the ticket for his re-election campaign in 1964. We all know how that ended. (This came up in Robert Caro's excellent book on LBJ "The passage of power." The Kennedy crowd in the white house created a nickname for LBJ - "rufus cornpone.") The more I read and think about it, the more I think LBJ was the prime suspect or at least had some part in JFK's assassination.

The Constitution of the United States gives Congress the authority to remove the vice president of the United States from office in two separate proceedings.
I will have to go read it because I want to know exactly what they are allowed to remove her for.
