Does it though? Has anyone (to include the author of the article) read it? The answer is no. THIS is one of many topics which has been said over and over and NOONE has said it is in the bill. Which Republican has preached doing this? The only impact that has been addressed for Medicare is that it should be used for Citizens ONLY.

This period of actors reading script is killing us with misinformation and innuendos. People are said to “SAY” something during these script reads, on line, or in print and yet…..NO QUOTES anywere in it. Strange don’t you think?

We are smarter then this. The increase in nose rings directly correlates to the American public being led by the nose, told what to be worried about (when it isn’t even a thing) and how to think and speak.

I’ll tell you, if you don’t work in the healthcare sector or use it much, Medicare/ Medicade/ Tricare is not paying the bill very well. People are getting hit hard by very large co-pays, doctors won’t take it anymore which means “Go find another doctor”. This was WELL before this administration. Our healthcare system (in the Wealthiest nation in the world) is broken unless you have private insurance or money to burn. And the people you voted for haven’t done squat about it for decades.

We need to fix US before we can go into another relationship.

Not disagreeing, but all these stories are subjective interpretations of what was read on the bathroom wall. Is there an actual posting of the proposed bill? Anything published and public showing what is being presented? Bill#, Who is the Author, Who is the committee, who co-sponsered. This has been the tactic for a very long time. Rile up the public, put the fear in the folks, they will never actually know the real deal.

How much of “Build Back Better” was actually in the bill? Have you read it? (to everyone, not Celt). How about the Green New Deal? Anyone read through that? If you are really feeling frisky, read some of the crap coming out of Albany with cool titles and then see what they actually are about.

When my Mom went into skilled nursing for dementia the Medicaid rate was ~$1,500 a month and Self Pay was $12,500 plus a service charge by the State of .0650% and by the time of her passing (couple months short of the five year look back) it was $14K.
Medicaid/Medicare doesn't pay shit, and MANY on or accepting it exploit the hell out of it.

What they care about is if they receive less services from Medicaid.

The problem is legally I’m not sure they are illegals yet. The issue is the Biden admin admitted them in under the asylum protection program so they are here legally until a court tells them they aren’t in many cases. This isn’t all of them but plenty.

My father thankfully passed before we had to put him in a nursing home but my mom and I were just about getting ready to do it (we couldn't care for him anymore). But if he had to go into skilled nursing they would take everything they had before Medicaid would pay anything like they did with your mom. Luckily, even if we did have to put dad in a nursing home we had an irrevocable trust established to protect the assets. But you have to be proactive about that long before you think you're going to need it. Thank God my parents had that foresight years ago.

It really is a crock of shit that hard working people pay into Medicare/Medicaid/Social Security their whole lives and then when they really need it the government provides exactly jack and shit. One of many major reasons my faith in our government and healthcare system is at exactly zero.

Last weekend I ran into some Trump protesters who were carrying on to anyone that would listen about medicare cuts. I calmly asked what the congress bill numbers were and the first woman cursed me out. But I held firm as others were watching and I continued to press them on the bill numbers. A guy comes over to me, well dressed and asks me what my question is and when I told him he said "there isn't one but republicans have been known......." I walked away saying if there is no bill number your argument and protest are null and void. Then you should have heard them. It was like I kicked the hornets nest.

So unless outlets like MSNBC provide a link the the bill and a PDF of the specific section, its all BS.

It’s Medicaid and they want to include a work requirement to get it. I fully support that because far too many sit around for free and can work. But does the vast majority of the USA support it and are they smart enough to make this distinction? The left and the media will showcase exceptions or those impacted negatively for political gain. This is an issue brought up during the campaign and was said it wouldn’t be touched. Again I support it but the mid term campaign ads are already writing themselves

A great deal of things get complicated by negating processes and systems in place. Their “Temporary Process” also negated allowing temp work permits and other systems. The lack of backing up what was said “Get here and We’ll take care of you” from the left side is amazing (Not really buy) to include AOC in her white dress crying and then “Not in my district”. Teaching folks to throw their ID papers and IDs away only complicates things for the people trying to do things legally and for real. But I digress.
