BELLEVUE, WA – Today’s shooting of Congressman Steve Scalise (R-LA), and others including an aide and two Capitol Police officers is the result of Democratic hate speech toward President Donald Trump and majority Republicans, the Second Amendment Foundation said today.
“This hate speech that has been going on since Donald Trump was elected,” said SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. “It gets their voter base agitated and this is what happens as a result. Is this just a coincidence this happened on the president’s birthday?”
The gunman has been identified as James Hodgkinson of Illinois. A Facebook page belonging to the fatally-wounded suspect suggests that he was a socialist Democrat, and was a follower of Sen. Bernie Sanders. Sanders confirmed that Hodgkinson was apparently a volunteer in his 2016 presidential campaign.
“When liberal leftists support the assassination of President Trump on stage what do you expect to happen,” Gottlieb stated. “Hate speech and actions incite this kind of violence. It is time for Democrats like Reps. Maxine Waters and Nancy Pelosi, Sen. Chuck Schumer, Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton and many of the talking heads at CNN and MSNBC to shut up.”
“Congressman Scalise and others at the field this morning were lucky to have the protection of courageous Capitol police officers, the good guys with guns who took down a bad guy with a gun,” he continued. “But what if they hadn’t been present?”
Congressman Mike Bishop of Michigan, who was at the baseball field, told a reporter, “The only reason why any of us walked out of this thing, by the grace of God, one of the folks here had a weapon to fire back and give us a moment to find cover.”
“Maybe now the anti-gun rights Democrats will support everyone’s right to carry a firearm for self-defense,” Gottlieb said. “We are the first line of defense when it comes to personal protection from crazed individuals.”
“I can only concur with what President Trump said this morning,” he concluded. “We are blessed to be Americans, and we are strongest when we are unified and when we work together. Those responsible for this campaign of hate have no place in our society. You own this.”

I was kind of surprised that neither one of those two threads got much action.
I was like, wow I am surprised that the people here aren't very interested in this.

Well now I know why... LOL

And strangely enough, I found out that Chris Collins IS NOT listed as a co-sponsor of the National Concealed Carry Reciprocity Bill! Imagine that!

I'm not a big fan of Alex Jones, But in this case, he's right. The Liberal media is trying their level best to legitimize this shooting by saying this was just a political 'thing'

If this had been conservative shooting democraps, Pelosi and Watters and Feinstein would already be calling for more gun control. By their silence, they prove they're hypocrisy

Watch the Chris Matthews piece a few posts up. They seriously almost publically condone it. They sympathize with the asshole saying "he understood wealth inequality" blablah blah. He's not so bad...

The end justifies the means for these people.

So he's a Republican from Buffalo.
Tell me how he is going to LEGALLY carry his gun in D.C.? If he even HAS his gun with him in D.C. isn't he breaking the Law? Can non-residents get a carry license in D.C.?

Dual residents can have a gun in both states now. They just have to get the permit.

Alexandria has its own law that is illegal to carry an "assault rifle with a high cap magazine" in the open.

Virginia is generally open carry for long and short guns.

NY State doesn't give reciprocity with any other state, and I'm pretty sure not with DC as well. Collins would have to keep his Clarence, NY home as his legal residence in order to be our Congressman, - at least that's the way it used to work. So, I'm not really sure he can get a permit in DC, - or do they give them out to non-residents? And then only to a select privileged few people, like Congressmen perhaps?

I find it interesting, but sad, that Collins is not among the co-sponsors of HR38, - the National Conceal Carry Reciprocity Act. Probably just another case of them believing they are better than, and more important than us peons...

David Gregory openly waved a 30 rd mag in DC on Meet The Press a few years back, guess how many charges were brought? Congressmen are in the privileged class, they'll either be allowed to do so just because or they'll just vote themselves a reciprocity exemption.
