This probably falls into the "its just a little thing but ...... "
The Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union (HVFCU) is asking its members to vote for a proposal to convert from a federally chartered credit union to a New York State chartered credit union. If you are a member of HVFCU, you should have gotten a ballot in the USPS mail.
I urge you to vote against the proposal.
If this proposal passes, the HVFCU will be chartered by the NYS Department of Financial Services (NYS DFS).
The former superintendent of NYS DFS's, Maria Vullo, attempted to use the clout of NYS DFS to intimidate banks into severing ties with the NRA and the firearms industry. ( The likely replacement for Vullo is the Acting Financial Services Superintendent, Linda A. Lacewell. )

The HVFCU does offer business lines of credit, which a firearms related business might use.
If the HVFCU becomes the HVCU and is under a charter granted by the NYS DFS, will NYS DFS pressure the HVCU into not doing business with firearms related businesses? Why not?
