I got sick of staring my Jungle Carbine stock that I made from a No3 stock. Long story short, the original stock had a split down it and I didn't want to damage it further.
I ordered a reproduction stock from Prestigious Wood Stocks. The fitment was decent but it definitely needed some grinding/shaving.
The buttstock didn't mate into the barreled receiver 100%, it was too thick in some areas, and the top part of the buttstock needed to be planed down so the bolt could retract all the way.
After all the fitment was done, I gave it a quick sanding with my Harbor Freight palm sander and cleaned it up with Klean Strip.
Got the first coat of stain on it and it's looking nice. Three or four more coats then I can start on the boiled linseed oil.
