Review of FMJ engraving and New Frontier Armory - AR Related

So, the War Department informed me that she would like a feminine AR, so who was I to dissuade her. She wanted to have some engraving on the receiver so I thought that it would be a good opportunity to build off of an 80% lower. After some research, I decided that I would have FMJ engraving do the design work on the receiver and then I would send it out for anodizing after that. I knew that anodizing after I did the 80% to 100% wouldn’t be feasible as I wasn’t planning on putting the typical manufacturer information that the anodizer would need to log it as a firearm.

So, dealing with FMJ engraving was fantastic. They sent proof drawings along the way and then once approved, it was shipped within a day or two of my ok. I would highly recommend them for their work.

Then it went to New Frontier for the anodizing. They cant be beat price wise. And you seem to give up customer service for that price. An email sent to them to confirm they received the slab of aluminum went unanswered. A week later, I get an automated email letting me know that they were sending it back to me. Looking at the finish, its smooth with no evidence of thin finish.

I played around with highlighting the selector markings, but that will ultimately up to the War Dept. Then select parts that are anodized in purple will be added. Hell, as long as it makes her happy.

so i take it they work on 80% with no problem ??

Since the 80% is just a chunk of metal, no issue with anyone working on it.

I was really thinking of another one which was going to have the selector markings as
