Excuse my ignorance please. Are revolvers subject to the seven round limitation? Would an eight shot revolver be no good in our wonderful state? Thanks in advance.
Shotguns don't have a different limit.1st, there is no 7 round limit on guns in this state it is 10 round magazine limit (shotguns have a different limit, and rimfire tube fed rifles also have a different limit) but for simplicity we will talk about magazine capacity limits of NY and that limit is 10 rounds.
2nd revolvers are not semiautomatic and therefore don't fall under the assaulty thing, just the good ol Sullivan act of 1911 and so on

Negative ghost rider.Shotguns are 7 not 10
He is talking about the 265 definition of an “AW“ shotgunNegative ghost rider.
Citation?
(And it's the magazines that are limited in this respect, not the firearms.)

A semi auto sg that can accept more than 7 rounds is considered an AW by governor stinky finger. There is no 7 round limitation.
The is no limit of 7 for shotgun magazines however. This is an important distinction.I said Shotguns were limited not a magazine
***edit*** and to be technical, still is considered a magazine since the actual term is tubular magazine ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
AW and LCAFD ban are separate.A semi auto sg that can accept more than 7 rounds is considered an AW by governor stinky finger.
The 7 thing was thrown out.
This indicates 10 (but only loading 7 for some reason). However, I have also seen that 7 is the new limit for capacity unless grandfathered at 10. Anything above 10 is illegal.
shotguns have a different limit,

b) a semiautomatic shotgun that has at least one of the following
characteristics:
(iv) a fixed magazine capacity in excess of seven rounds;
shotguns have a different limit,
And if this was a thread about the AWB, you'd be correct.Weird I never said Shotgun magazines.. just Shotguns,
Wow would you look at that it's almost as if
For the reason shown above. You can have a shotgun with a 10 round magazine.
How back to confusing the AWB again.Any and all shotguns?
How back to confusing the AWB again.
The LCAFD says nothing of "shotgun magazines limited to 7."

No, it doesn't say it. You have to look at it.So the penal code doesn't say
No, it doesn't say it. You have to look at it.
And when you do, you'll see what makes something an AW. What you won't see is "there are different limits for shotguns", because there is no distinction between shotgun magazines and other magazines. A fixed magazine capacity over 7 is an evil feature on a semi auto shotgun. It's not a feature on a pump action, and the limit is 10 as with any other magazine.
I have no idea. Is it an AW?So I can go to the local gun store and pick up a Mossberg 930 JM Pro Series here in NY

Once again, incorrect. So what you are saying here is
