Revolver Grips.

Got me this little Smith and Wesson model 60. Has the ugliest rubber grips on it. I just polished it up, we got talking about Stainless in another thread, so I decided to polish this one up as well. Anyway, the grips are just plain, ugly.

Any good ideas for some decent priced grips?

Wood grips on a 357 jframe, not for me. Wood looks nice, but I like a good grip on lightweight powerhouses.

Damn! Jealous of your Model 60,- I'm still looking for a good deal on one in .357. I have a Ruger SP101 in .357, and when I compared it recently to a Model 60, I noticed that they both appear to be exactly the same in size and profile.

The reason I mention it, is because, I didn't like the standard Ruger grips it came with, and I ended up putting on a CTC LG303 laser grip made for it that is extended. (the standard length ones are the LG111, and only give you a two finger hold); - The LG303 gives me a full three finger grip on it. It makes it very comfortable to hold when shooting. Not sure if it would fit the Model 60, but then again maybe they make the same style for the 60?

And are you going to post a pic of it all polished up for us??? Please?

i Love VZ grips, However they grip the skin off my hands when i shoot a lot!
I even wet sanded them (with oil) a couple of times to make them less aggressive.
they are such great looking grips and fit so well.

I put a good Polish on my M60 and it wears Hogue Bantams. I like the look, but really love the stocks. It carries very well, points naturally and is very soft shooting. I think it's now a damn-near perfect carry gun.
I also have a set of K/L sized currently on my M10 and a set on my Security Six. They are my woods guns and the Hugues provide superior grip barehanded or with a thin glove.
I put CT 305 laser grips on my M442. They are a bit longer and can fit my pinky. They too retard recoil and point nicely. A bit bigger for carry, but not a deal killer as it is often by my side.
The Hogues can be had for lIke 17 bucks. The Crimson Trace will take a bit more folding money!

Just put the Houge rubber ergo grip on my sp101, vast improvement over the factory grip.

So far I've been happy with the factory grips on my wheel guns but there is a lot of options out there. I especially like the cool ones that they have for cowboy action shooting.
