Rifle permit wait time

Does anyone has idea of how long the wait time for rifle/shotgun permit now days ? From what Ive seen it’s about 6-12 months of wait time however those posts were made in 2018.

My guess 1yr+ for NYC.

because on another site- someone said they applied (NYC) in 2/2021 and only recently got called for fingerprints in 2/2022. While others are still waiting.

I paid for my application on 1/04/2021. I got fingerprinted on 1/25/2022. I'm still in investigation. Do with that what you will. They told me at fingerprinting that it takes between 3-4 months from that point. They only do 10 fingerprinting appointments per day.

I had to call them 30+ times to schedule my fingerprinting appointment. They let me know on 12/30/2021 that my application was reached, and scheduled fingerprinting around 1/4/2022 for the 25th.

I am not sure who I should reach out to when a month has passed since they started their 'investigation.' Since I'm sure they're going to delay it past a month, even though they're bound by the RCNY to process within a month unless they let me know why its delayed.

Be careful someone might get offended or feel threatened by you constantly calling and might put you on a list :idk: Good luck for a speedy process :flag:
