Rimfire Pistol Shoot
NEW BREMEN RIFLE RANGE, 6127 ARTZ ROAD, NEW BREMEN 13367
14 October 2017: Registration starts at 10:30am shooting starts at 11:00 am after the safety briefing.
Point of Contact: dsdmmat
Cost: 20.00, club members receive a $5.00 discount by showing their 2017 membership card. Shooters may register a second rifle to compete in both classes for an additional $15.00.
Course of fire: 10 shots at 10 bottle shaped targets (total of 10 rounds per stage) for each ydistance 7, 10, 15, 20 yards.
Targets: colorful polypropylene bottle shaped targets.
Iron Sight Class: Any rimfire caliber pistol with iron sights
Open Class: Any rimfire caliber pistol with electronic sites or optical sights.
Shooting Position: standing
Scoring: hit/miss
Winner: Most hits
Tie breaker: Most hits at farthest distance. Ties will go to a shoot off.
Shoot off: Sudden death style at 25 yards.
Prize: Certificates for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Ammo Restrictions: No tracer bullets or bullets that attract a magnet (steel core or armor piercing) allowed.
Annual Membership Available: $30.00
Shooters will be rotated to the firing line. All shooters will shoot the distance stage before target distance is changed. Shooters can draw from a holster or pick up the pistol from a table. A par time of 30 seconds will be set for each stage.
The safety will give the shooter the following commands:
Shooter make ready – Shooter will load their pistol, place it on safe and either holster it or place it on the table.
Stand by – the shooter will assume the surrender position and wait for the buzzer to sound. On the sound of the buzzer the shooter will draw or pick up their pistol and engage the targets.
Show Clear – The shooter will clear their pistol and be checked by the safety before the shooter is allowed to leave the firing line.
