On October 19, 2023, the New York State Police Gun Involved Violence Elimination (GIVE) initiative in Rochester conducted a traffic stop on a 2008 Pontiac G6 for a traffic violation on Ketchum St. in Rochester.

so the pull over was for a gun traffic stop ..

Based on the last time I drove in the city I can personally testify a lot of city residents treat traffic laws as optional. Red lights and stop signs are simply ignored.

I was driving through Syracuse to drop off some equipment on Friday, and there's this one red light at a very busy intersection that all ways are no turn on red, and for very good reason. I was the only one in the line of 12 people in front of me that actually waited for the light to turn green, meaning all 12 in front of me ignored the law. No one honked at me for waiting, but really?!
