Just came across this. Looks like a pretty simple tool to install bolt catch pin without marring the lower (like I always do) and installing the pivot pin spring and detent without launching them into space or your eye.

Tool is neat, but totally unnecessary. Put on the catch and spring and hold in place with a slightly smaller diameter punch, hammer the pin in from the other side with a second punch (of full diameter). The pin pushes the smaller punch out as the pin advances, spring and catch are retained the whole time

Blue painters tape if you can't do it without scratching but this way is pretty goober proof.

I just use needle nose pliers to gently hold the pin and start in in place with a pair of small vise grips the finish with a roll punch and protect the lower with an old credit card.

Everyone needs a set of regular punches, roll pin punches, starter punches, and brass punches. Ain't no way to gunsmith without 'em.

I just this afternoon took delivery of the lower and ordered the LPK to start my .224 Valkyrie build. I’ll have to check this out.
