I used a stock ruger lightweight barrel to shoot distinguished at an Appleseed this year. I just added a leather check pad to help stock position.Just got back from a rimfire match. Need to shoot from different positions, all timed. So gongs and paper . A quick and accurate gun under 100 yards..
You would still need new rings!Still have some issues to work out with my build. Had feeding issues till I tried another magazine now it seems to run flawless.
But the high cheek comb is causing trouble for the scope. Without shooting glasses and ear muffs I can get low enough for the eye relief but with them it's a struggle.. so it's either bring the scope much higher off the receiver or change out a scope with a much smaller rear optic bell..
Yes, I know. I don't have much money in the 22 Bushnell but it's very bulky and heavy. It actually would hit the mounting rail now with high rings if I were to move it foward.You would still need new rings!
