Ruger LCP II

Ruger just announced the LCP II. I like the look and may have to upgrade. What do you think?

I'll be interested....well....my wife likes compact .380acp pistols. If it feels more like the 42 than the original LCP, that'd be nice. I despised the "flippiness" of the LCP. Plus, it felt like I had to pull the trigger for an hour before it ever fired.

Kahr makes an excellent "long triggered" 380 as well. The Ruger is $150 cheaper than a Glock 42, and looks better IMO.

That was the main complaint about them, the LCP Custom had an upgraded trigger because of all the complaints.

@Calculon thanks for sharing. @Checkers Your Custom is fine, IMO this doesn't warrant an upgrade over the custom. Over the regular LCP, maybe, because of the trigger.

Keep it! I have one also and it's great. I don't want a light trigger pull on a pocket gun personally.

Probably true (though, the Glock 42 is .380. The Glock 43 is 9mm).

Never liked the LCP line. They feel to cheap and lightweight. Too hard to keep a grip of.

Your picture illustrates why I dislike the LCP. A Glock 43/42 or Kahr CM40/9 is about as small as I can go. The LCP is thinner and shorter. I held one in a gun store and I could only get a 1.5 finger grip.

Me too. That's why I went with a double stacked 9 mm. My single stack was just too thin and flops around in my hand.

The small size is the entire point. I have one and it's not fun to shoot but it's reliable. Icarry it in a pocket or on the ankle when I can't conceal a bigger gun. It serves its purpose but I would not recommend as a primary carry gun

My CM40 is the same way. Reliability is key. I would take a hard to handle LCP over fists at the end of the day
