There are so many millions around it won't be much of an issue.
And it was always a crappy pistol. Incredibly difficult to service and also clean when fouled.
But they also jacked up the price. The Mark III was replaced with the Mark IV. They redesigned the take down and made it a much simpler to clean.

I have a 22/45 lite. I love this pistol except the takedown. I never had the balls to tear it apart. I just got it out today to take it to my LGS to see if I can use it to finance another edc pistol
YouTube is your answer my friend
if you still have the magazine disconnect there's a simple bushing to buy for that because that's a pain
I posted a video on YouTube about reassembly. If you are still having problems, maybe give it a watch. It is on the long side but a couple or few people have commented that because of that particular video they finally were able to reassemble their Ruger MKII pistols.Taking it apart wasn't so bad. Putting it back together was a different story.
Plenty of dealers still have them but they are no longer being produced and will be gone sooner or later. For example, Hunters Essentials in Albertson, NY still has them listed for sale.I just checked. Buds Guns still has Mark III's available for sale.
No firearm shipping to any of the following counties:
Bronx Kings
Nassau Queens
Richmond New York
Thanks. I have to watch it myself, each time I do it.Good video Glenn B Thanks for posting it! It will help next time I clean my Mark II.

If I can maintain it (with my MKII) and make a video that others find useful on how to do it - almost anyone can disassemble and reassemble it. Yep, it can be a pain if you don't know just how to do it but it has been one of my more accurate and fun 22 pistols regardless of needing my own video to maintain it. I imagine the MKIII cannot be much different than my MKII.Almost impossible to service. I ended up flipping mine to my doctor for pennies on the dollar. If nobody bought it my plan-b was to just melt it down with a welding torch. Absolute piece of garbage product.
A buddy of mine just picked up a Mark IV Hunter for 619.00. The local dealer had two of them in stock. Another dealer that I know had the same Mark IV for sale for 759.00. Full Retail!!
