Ruger MK IV anyone have one yet?

As the title says,does anyone have a mkIV yet,I currently have a well worn bull barrel mkII and though it was my first handgun and its a nice shooter but I have no real love for it,a previous owner dinged the shit out of the reciever removing the rear sight and it bugs the hell out of me.
Im considering moving on to a mkIV for easier take down and having a more modern(natural)magazine release.
Looking for feedback be it good bad or ugly.

I transferred a MkIV Lite model last week and it's very, very nice. Badazz looking and takedown is so much nicer than my Mk 3

That's all I needed to know to want one. I love my Mark iii but it's such a bitch to disassemble that it keeps me from shooting it much.

Very first pistol I shot was a Mark II. Took it apart and put it back together exactly ONCE and am very reluctant to do it again. Otherwise it's a very nice gun. I think the Mark IV solves a lot of those take down problems and is on my short list for next pistol.

Did you have slow feeding magazines? Bullet drags in mag and causes failure to feed. I had this with numerous mags and brands of 22lr.

Did the muzzle cap on that lite have to be affixed by any means?

Haven't experienced that. But I only have a couple of hundred rounds through it, all Rem golden bullet.

I have a Mark III Hunter that I'm very fond of, and it shoots quite well. Then I picked up a Mark IV Target SS. I think it is a great pistol, can't decide which one I like to shoot more. But it is easy to decide which one is easier to clean, that's for sure. The Mark IV is a real winner, all the way around.

Has anyone put a Volquartsen kit into a Mk IV?
How hard is the Mk IV to mod, vs. the Mk III?

I put a TandemKross "Victory" trigger in my Mark IV, and I have to say it was surprisingly easy to install and set up. I like it quite a bit more than the factory trigger. I haven't put any Volquartsen parts into my Mark IV yet, but I think just about everything is easier in the Mark IV than the Mark III.

I wouldn't think that the fire control in the IV is much different than the III. The Volquartsen kit took me about 20 min to install while following a You Tube vid. 1.75 lb trigger on my Mark III with little or no trigger creep. Fully adjustable trigger.

Luckily both of the gun stores that I have happened into since this post have not had one in stock to fondle, saving me money that I don't have to waste.
Sooner or later I will get my hands on one though.
