The Browning is a little slicker, but the Ruger is as venerable and modifiable as the 10/22, probably more accurate as well... they dominate the .22 pistol world.
I shot a Ruger MK II bulled barrel on a bullseye league for 11 years. I customized it with many Volquartsen parts and thumb rest target grips and that gun shot like no tomorrow. It was hands down my all time favorite target pistol. I also own a Buckmark URX target model and although it’s a very fine target pistol IMHO it still doesn’t compare to the Ruger.
I've owned Ruger II, III & IV; 22/45 and the Mark series. Like the Energizer Bunny. The Mark series has lots of aftermarket upgrades and mods both for performance and good looks.
Ruger mark 4 all day long. They dominate the competition circles for a reason. If you get a mark 4 and don’t care for the grip angle you can just swap for a 22/45 lower no problem. Easy 1 button takedown that makes cleaning a breeze. Huge aftermarket support for customization options including big names like volquartsen or tandenkross
