Ruger Single Six Grip Frame

I have a single six that I've installed Williams fiber optic sights on and put a trigger spring. Being someone who can't leave well enough alone, I've been surfing around to see how others have tricked out their revolvers. Big mistake. I discovered brass grip frames for the single six and allied other Ruger SAs. So I emailed the guy who makes them, asking for the price. He got back, but didn't understand the question...wtf?

Anyway, probably expensive, so now I'm wondering about other ways to achieve the mod using my original part. I believe it's made of aluminum alloy and possibly powder coated. Any ideas? Ceroke, paint, plate, chemicals?

As someone who is great at messing up something that is working by trying to make it better, leave well enough alone. Enjoy the gun as-is. Get a set of grips and be happy.
Also, love the Williams sights. Good choice.

The brass grip frame from that guy is 350, wow! Something wacky with my browser as the prices are on his website. Ruger site is a good source for info too.

I just like the look, and honestly the single six is a cheap hoot. I'm leaning toward using Cerakote. Did a Mossberg shot gun with it before and that came out fantastic. Maybe gold, then a satin on top.

If I screw it up, I think a new grip frame might be like 50 bucks.
