Im not saying I want us involved physically, and its too late for what "could have" been done to prevent it from happening. I was just commenting on how you said not my problem as I see things that happen globally as our problem whether we want it or not.
I agree but if we could use this negative affect to bring manufacturing jobs back home. I would gladly deal with some strife and hardship to see that happen. We need to put ourselves in a better position so that these things do not affect us at all.

I am not willing to go to war for Ukraine but I’m in support of the Ukrainian president who was an actor who saw the corruption in his country and ran for president to stop it. He stood up for Trump and told the truth about his phone call with Trump. And now, he is leading his country against an aggressor. Russia has been supporting a separatist movement there and the majority of the people there according to prior polls did not want to separate ( the polls could be faked or wrong ). Russia had troops on the border just when these groups declared independence? It’s literally the same exact tactic the Nazis used to gain land with a political excuse.

Yeah, but at what cost? Now that they're invading Ukraine, Sweden and Finland are likely to join NATO as a result. They had a neutral zone. Now they won't.
Even if it's due to the fact Ukraine has pipelines and black sea access, they already had Crimea. Putin didn't have to take the rest of the country for that access.
I think Putin is doing this because he wants to leave a legacy. It's about him. He's getting older, and he wants to try, while he can, to leave his mark on Russia. That's the only thing I can reason here, and the fact he believes the world will do nothing and cower away.

I do NOT support russia... however, ukraine did tend to poke the bull, and is now getting the horns.. I pray its over quickly... Putin IS a strong leader, and has the support of his people, unlike the senile old reprobate we elected... One must remember, Putin is an old school Bolshevik. They had no qualms about stacked up bodies. russia was hard core communist for 70 years, and a lot of the leadership there would love a revival of the soviet union... The geopolitical analyst Peter Zeihan predicted Russia would expand its borders in a book he wrote a number of years ago. The existing western border is too long for a nation with a declining number of military age males. By pushing the border west it gets shorter and becomes easier to defend. Ukraine was next after Crimea. If his prediction holds true Poland is going to have the same problem at some point in time. This is a move by a dying nation to delay the inevitable. Remains to be seen if it will work.

His actions turns democrats. Not CPAC. A mid-term win is a globalist set back. A Ukraine victory would be claimed as one where without Biden's sanctions would not be possible. But I doubt the Ukrainian president would allow that to stand unchallenged. Dragging Biden into global verbal fight in the media which wouldn't poll well.
I know this much about the modern wars of the past and history proves it. They are fought over control of resources and wealth but you cant get citizens to fight over resources and wealth that they won't participate in.
