Russian 300 BLK?

Has anyone seen this yet? Seems to me it's just the Russian version of 300BLK. Or would it be more proper to say 300BLK is the American version of 9x39? I don't see much of a benefit over 300BLK besides maybe supersonic loads. If someone remakes the VSS Vintorez they can take my money though.

This is what my AK47 sounds like suppressed. Much quieter than 300BLK

And yes it's more correct to say the 300 is the American version of this since Russia has been fucking around with the 9x39 for 3 or 4 decades

The cheapest I've seen is $650 for a case of wolf (before shipping) Without being able to reload for this caliber I think it's DOA. I'm wondering if it's possible to neck up a normal ak casing. Then you could size some type of .375 projectile down to reload.

This round has been around and in service for many years.
Better than the "Body Odor" but same issues as any light for caliber slow moving round.

You'd have to make a whole rifle because of the mag. I actually would like to just shoot my AK with a can on it since it's so quiet but there's two things that stop me from doing it. 1 is because the subsonic load that I make leaves a terrible amount of unburned powder in the gun. It cycles, is super quiet but gets full of unburned powder very quickly. 2 is because the barrel threads aren't exactly concentric to bore. I've had a few baffle strikes. Not a big deal on a form 1 can wink wink but if it hits the front end cap that really sucks. It's actually the reason I ended up building a 300 BLK so I could have a gun that could fire and cycle subs reliably. I would have been happy to just shoot the AK.

ETA: my RFB is the quietest of all sounding like a slingshot but it's effectively a bolt action rifle

Have you tried 28rd they say work better than 30rd ones and 10rd can also be found for land

I've never tried either. I have no doubt they work well but would they cycle subs is the question. Not really interested in an AR upper in x39 anyhow. That's what AKs are for

I know a few PA members have posted using them with subs without issues.

Yeah I saw those but they are so easy to make yourself. I'm just gonna stick with the 300BLK unless they make a VSS Vintorez clone.
