S&W M&P (FS) 40 to 9 conversion?

Well I wasn't going to do this, But I scored two M&P 10rd 9mm mags over the weekend for $10.00 each! Now to decide on which conversion barrel ( Storm Lake, Lone Wolf or KKM ) Has anyone done this? I'm leaning to the Storm Lake barrel.

New Barrel and a 9mm magazine is all you need. The extractor and springs are the same on 9mm vs 40 S&W for the M&P line.

Thanks! Yes new barrel, but I will go with a aftermarket conversion barrel as I have heard a factory 9mm may fit loosely.

Correct. You need to use a conversion barrel, which has a the same outer diameter as the 40 cal barrel, but a proper 9mm bore.

Well ordered the Storm Lake barrel from Brownells yesterday $153.00 to my door in 3/5 days. Would be nice to have for the weekend, not that I don't have anything else to shoot!
