This is a model 36 no-dash with the serial J141XXX, which puts it almost certainly to 1973 (J100000 to J250000 from 1973 to 1974)
Original box in good cond (Note: the box has slightly more corner wear than in the pics from since being moved around a lot in my safe and such)
All included original paperwork in (Includes ammo catalog) in near prefect cond
tool still in orig bag
Original grips in very good cond.
Also possibly part of the deal: Custom made grips corian by Jim Badger w/medallions.
The gun is overall in excellent condition with only a faint turn line.. with a but. The backstrap has some light pitting (shown in pics). It's not bad at all, but it's there.
Now, that makes pricing this thing kind of a weird issue because a collector would love the original stuff and the excellent almost unused condition of the rest of it but would have an issue with the backstrap. It would be worth a lot more and desirable as a collector peice if not for that. A shooter on the other hand might not care much about the condition of the rest of the stuff.
So, I think it's a very good deal at $535 to someone who still wants a semi-collector 1973 no-dash peice in mostly minty cond. other than that one issue. I'm probably not going to move from that price, but because of the weird in-between place this gun rides in I'm willing to consider input and stuff.
I'd value the custom grips somewhere around $100 (maybe even a little more). Custom order/made with inset medallions and in a material Badger's company no longer uses. Perfect cond. They feel amazing in the hand. If you want to include them with the gun then I'd include them for $40. ($575 total).
Edit: 7/9: Now open to trades/partial trades.
Location: I'm in the Highland / New Paltz Area of South Eastern Ulster county. 10 mins or less from Thruway exit 18 or the Mid Hudson Bridge. My FFL/Friend is right down the street, but I'll travel a little ways if you have a preferred local FFL. My very local ffl will do the transfer for $20 or less, which I'd split in half with someone buying the whole package.
I'm not really looking to ship, but it could be arranged if someone wants to pay for it.
