Just curious but what do you consider to be a “ reasonable “ price?
The model 39 is a fairly sought after gun. There are 40 up for auction right now that range from $380 on up to $1600

I know its a popular pistol and therefore the price is normally on the high side. All depends on condition. It's not a Python, so I would say up to 600 for like new condition. People are asking for the moon for some of their guns. They think that they have a valuable pistol but in reality, its a run of the mill pistol.

The market dictates the price.. if people are willing to pay it then that's is what it's worth.. regardless if it is an immaculate blued Python or if it's a high point..
