I can see this pistol filling a niche for women new to shooting! When I work a County pistol safety course a lot of the ladies are surprised that pistols don't all have safeties even revolvers! So if a pistol like this makes them more comfortable with the safety and less recoil of the 380 in a pistol the size of a Shield ( I would not recommend a S&W Bodyguard for example!) it may be a good thing! At least they are shooting!

This is probably their target audience. I'm surprised at the hate towards the gun (both from this forum and another S&W forum I lurk at).. just because it's not for YOU doesn't mean it won't sell. If it doesn't sell, they'll discontinue it.

Again, *I* don't want it, but an older person who doesn't want a revolver might like it.

Wait until it comes out, and reviews start being publishes before condemning it.

OK let me see if I got this shit right, we are looking at pretty much a Glock 19 size gun (or m&p 2.0 compact) size gun just slightly slightly thinner. Only .15in less in length, only holds 8+1 of .380

I think this little guy will find a decent market personally. All the m&p line tend to be reliable, and there are plenty of people out there that don't have the strength or dexterity to operate most pistols well. Age, injury, arthritis, etc. The population is getting older and I can think of several loved ones that could make use of the 380ez.

Yeah, safeties in general are dumb on carry pistols. However I can see where a grip safety might be a good option for someone newer and not as practiced/doesn't have the same mindset as a more seasoned gun owner.

Heck, I really like my m&p 22 compact and if it is the same size it should be comfortable for a lot of people. I could shoot that little 22 for hours.

Also yeah having one for a collection piece and range toy would be fun, as an actual defensive gun it' dated and wouldn't serve as a well as a daily carry gun.

I mean dated but only like a few decades not decade over a century of no improvements

Duct tape, and why would I put a 3x9 scope on a non hunting gun? I' go with a 1x parallax free like a trijicon to Leopold (well near parallax free) and i could use a rear sight mounting plates. Oh and no need for a compensator (not sure how 4 inches got thrown on) dat low boar axis son

And to be fair I would and have put a fudd gun into rotation, but it's because j frame size revolvers are sometimes nice and easy. But then again they are actually reliable
