Won't see the light of day. Ortt just did it in an attempt to justify his existence.
Fat chance that is going anywhere.
Good guess.I’m guessing this won’t pass.
Why can’t we pressure our reps to support this bill?Good guess.
Why can’t we pressure our reps to support this bill?
Lol! Funny! I live in Westchester. Why can’t we pressure our reps to support this bill?
"We" throw money at a variety of groups and expect them to take care of problems. How many here make it a habit to pick up the phone, write a letter or even send an email ourselves? "We" have to get off our butts and do the bitching to those who make the rules instead of spending all our time preaching to the choir. "We" can never accomplish anything if all we have is a "we" can't beat them attitude."We" can, but nobody in Albany takes the allegedly pro-2A groups in the state seriously because they won't back up their position at election time and won't even bother to call out antigun BS in the press.

So why don’t we pressure Albany to take 2A groups seriously? Or pressure Albany to support this bill? I apologize for not knowing how the entire process goes so please forgive my ignorance but if we just sit here and wait for someone to save the state or Supreme Court to rule on AWB, that’s not going to happen in our lifetime. CA have court cases as we speak to try and reverse their bullshit laws but here in NY we don’t have nothing but this bill. I could be highly wrong but I think if we contact our reps and spread the word, it can get the bill to move forward."We" can, but nobody in Albany takes the allegedly pro-2A groups in the state seriously because they won't back up their position at election time and won't even bother to call out antigun BS in the press.

You simply can't. This is why you move out of NY. It's very obvious to many that NY is simply not a gun friendly state. It's the same with CA. You either think that 2A is important enough to move away or you don't. But nothing will change in these states. People keep saying to stay and fight but life is short. If there is nothing really keeping you in NY then move the hell out! Look up the Sullivan act to get an idea of how likely you are to change a gun law in NY.So why don’t we pressure Albany to take 2A groups seriously? Or pressure Albany to support this bill? Damn this is just pure utter bullshit, and it seems like there’s nothing New Yorkers can do about it.Because that would require the allegedly pro-2A groups to admit their incompetence and impotence has led to the current political state whereby elected officials feel free to inflict one 2A abuse after another without fear of reprisal.
I had a discussion about this years ago when he said Virginia is the place to go. Look at Virginia today. You either fight now for a future generation or only care about yourself in the short term. This anti 2A will spread like a cancer. Either it's important to stay and fight for or YOU don't. You can only run and hide so far.You simply can't. This is why you move out of NY. That’s what I’m saying, if we don’t fight this it’s only about time until the 2A is gone.I had a discussion about this years ago when he said Virginia is the place to go. Look at Virginia today. Because for nearly all of us either our reps will already vote correctly, or they will never vote correctly."We" throw money at a variety of groups and expect them to take care of problems. For the most part NY, PA, VA and many of the western states are mostly 2A friendly. The difference is this state and most others are increasingly being overrun by the urban vote. As with NYC controlling all of NY, the same is happening to many other states now. Even Texas is becoming a lot more purple than red. As for VA they already lost a lot of their rights so you are right, it's going to be a lot harder for them to get them back. Here's the difference.
"Keeping your rights" is infinitely easier than,
"Getting your rights back".
VA is fighting to keep their rights in a traditional 2a friendly state.
NY peasants like us would have to fight against decades of anti gun culture laws and government and overturn multiple laws and policies along the way. That is a herculean effort with everything stacked against you.
Keeping and maintaining your rights is paramount. Once they're gone good luck getting them back.
Do you not like Ortt? From what I know he’s a pretty good guy and very outspoken. Maybe I’m wrong but he’s been speaking out against the safe act, gun control, Cuomo and many other things for years. So much so that they tried to scrub him out with Trumped up charges. The judge took one look at them and said this is rio and said no case. Dismissed.Won't see the light of day. Ortt just did it in an attempt to justify his existence.
