IMHO, the states that are the most dysfunctional - CA, IL, OR, NY and others - are those where most of the people with 2 brain cells to rub together have gotten the fuck out of Dodge.

Those left that realize the mess they live in are too old or too poor to get out.

The vast majority of the people who live in NYC are a bunch of brainwashed sheep on the government tit. It disgusts me so much living here.

I really hope people vote in Sliwa this time around. That terrorist fuck who's running against Cuomo would be even more disastrous than DiBlasio and Adams put together.

I basically don’t care what happens to New Yorkistan, other than how it affects my immediate family members and a few friends still there. And then there is NYC: between the gov, the corrupt pols, worthless bureaucrats, and utterly ignorant residents, - they keep digging a hole faster than something getting sucked into a black hole in space. NYC is absolutely beyond saving. Time to wall it off and let them continue on. Good riddance. My only other wish is that those of us out here in Free America don’t get forced to bail them out financially as they run out of other people’s money to keep pissing away.

I'll never understand how anyone could possibly live in a huge city. I hate crowds anywhere and I need my space. I guess some people see beauty in brick and steel but they also vote for retardation.
I remember Howard Sterns J.D. reporting on his upstate vacation . It was hilarious. He hated the country life like I hate city life. Good luck to you anyways,,, you'll need it!

Andrew Cuomo Loses NYC Mayoral Primary To Socialist Zohran Mamdani​

33-year-old socialist Zohran Mamdani beat 67-year-old former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo in New York City's Democratic mayoral primary on Tuesday night, and is well on his way to becoming the city's first Muslim mayor.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Sen. Bernie Sanders congratulated Mamdani on his win, with AOC writing on X "Billionaires and lobbyists poured millions against you and our public finance system. And you won."

Which may not bode well for the city's corporate tax revenues. As The Free Press noted last week, New York business owners plan to flee both the city and the state if Mamdani wins...
"We may consider closing our supermarkets and selling the business," said 76-year-old billionaire John Catsimatidis of Gristedes Supermarkets, adding "We have other businesses. Thank God, we have other businesses."
He also suggested that his real estate conglomerate - Red Apple Group, may move to New Jersey too.
"There’s the possibility we’d move our corporate offices to New Jersey. Why not?" he said. "Then you’d have four years of peace."

NYC (like during COVID) is welcome to make their choice. But they must LIVE with their choice and NOT migrate north. Want to be a feel good sanctuary, no problem; LIVE WITH IT>. Want bail reform and close jails; feel free. You are welcome to live in a feel good free stuff world. Don’t bring your crap north.

Bottom line is NOONE is showing up to vote, NOONE is watching Chicago and the other NYC Peers and their failures, and NOONE is held to task. Don’t vote; your choice. Vote dumb and feeling good; your choice. Plenty of people starve and freeze every day while waiting for someone else to help. But when you reach the bottom, don’t go north unless it is to Albany to make your voice heard.

Honestly, with the current choice, a good moderate Republican could make a run. I would be a non-extreme plug for real reform to fix most of the crap created would go far to the average person trying to erk a living.
