Did a little work there over the winter. Interesting place. Looked like a nightmare from a firefighting standpoint. Bunch of close houses on tiny streets. It may or may not have been a gun free zone when I was there. I didn’t see any signs.

Basically a large gated community with private owned residences and rentals. Gate security in summer but you can drive in/out unchecked in the off season.
It's supposed to be a place of thinking, philosophy and enlightenment, however from a reality based perspective its a very narrow view of the universe. Utopia on Prozac.
I've done business as well down there over the years. Public infrastructure is crumbling beneath their feet. Overpriced real-estate.

We drove right in and met the contractor we were doing work for. Did a couple waterline taps in there. Water lines were shallow, had brick lined access pits. Surprised they don’t have more issues with freezing lines. There was a bunch of contractors working all over. I was told that nobody is permitted to do construction work in there during their busy season so everyone works to be done before they fully open up. Was tight with the 450 work truck.
An interesting place. I was underwhelmed considering the money that flows through there.
The only thing thing overwhelming to me is that a piece of land the size of a car goes for around 400k.

Yes, it is more newsworthy than a run-of-the-mill street fight. Doesn't make his life more valuable, but it underlines that everyone should have the means to protect himself.

He ain't special and good people are attacked all of the time. The elected and the MSM act like this is the most important crime of the month.
