At the same time you can toss any of the 3 slides sides onto a G43x frame or a G48 frame (they are the same frame) or even on a G43 frame

That's why I went with the 43X. For me it would be that much more comfortable and easier to conceal without sacrificing much related to control with the shorter barrel/slide.

I did though get an AIWB holster (pictured in the first post) sized for the 48. It was recommended to prevent the gun from tipping forward.

If you are carrying in a longer holster wouldn’t the longer barrel make sense?

Good question. I didn't realize the holster manufacturer would recommend the 48 holster for appendix carry. My hands are a bit smaller and I'm only 5'4" 155lbs. so that is why I initially went for the 43X. Had I known maybe I would have looked at the 48MOS just to compare. The shorter barrel and other dimension differences do add up to the 43X being slightly less weight which is helpful for me to carry. This is a good comparison. Makes sense. It used to make me laugh when People would buy a sub compact with a short barren then put a light on it that sticks out 2 inches farther. I’m not a Glock guy so this pains me to type. I shot the 48 better than any gun I have ever shot (and there’s been a lot of them). Never a 43x but I’m sure it’s about the same.

Had a MOS but was never going to run a red dot so I sold it. Then bought a regular 43x…perfect EDC for me…31 rounds on hand in a pretty small package. View attachment 159147

You recommend the talon grips? My hands are on the smaller side and although the gun feels really good stock I'm wondering if it could get even better. Does the talon grip actually help with your groupings/control? I see they have rubber, pro and granulate. Is your the rubber and what made you choose that option? Thanks.

The sandpaper talon will rub you raw! Rubber is the way to go or nothing if it’s already working out for you.

Yeah, I forgot I had the talon grips on mine.I ordered the rubber and the sandpaper, wouldnt even put the sandpaper on.I think I gave the sandpaper to somebody on this forum, or maybe a different one.I like the grips,makes it easier to control the slimmer single stack grip.I wasnt looking for a grip "upgrade", had no problem with the stock bare grip, I just happened upon the talons and gave it a try.

You already ordered some but, yes absolutely. I use the rubber version, not a fan of the granulate and have never tried the pro.

learned of Talon watching Hickok45, I first used them on a Shield 2.0 to cover up the sandpaper grips. I’ve now gone all Glock and all 5 of mine wear them. I do believe I get a better grip and they don’t add as much to the grip as Hogues.

Wound up keeping the Pro. Going to send the rubber one back. The Pro is in between the rubber and the granulate. Felt grippier to me without being abrasive.

Yeah, I got the middle grit and the sandpaper, didnt remember it was called Pro.Its fine, I carry everyday and havent had any issue with it being abrasive at all.I even forgot they were on there til you bought it up.
