So I'm officially done following this stuff now. I know you guys are mostly concerned about concealed carry and magazine and firearm bans. Here we can have anything under the sun so I was waiting for headway on NFA stuff. They are still claiming bumpstocks are machine guns so that means the FRT triggers and similar items will remain machineguns as well. The govt can change definitions of things even it's patently false like arm braces are stocks, triggers/bumpstocks are machineguns, men are women, women are men etc. The NFA is here to stay and Bruen has no teeth.

Trump pledged to ban them soon after a gunman used semiautomatic weapons outfitted with bump stock devices in a shooting spree that killed 58 people at a country music festival in Las Vegas.

Following the massacre, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), a U.S. Justice Department agency, reversed a previous conclusion and classified bump stocks as forbidden under a 1934 U.S. law called the National Firearms Act enacted in response to the gangster violence of that era. Trump also directed the Justice Department to issue a rule to ban bump stocks."

Sorry, but thats horse shit. I catch flack when I speak out against him but, in the bump stock ban, is the wording, "Anything that increases the rate of fire."

So, that would include revolvers, lever actions, etc., and even the metallic cartridge.
He also signed the stimulus bill for CONVID, putting Americans in trillions of dollar debt. Written in Jan of 2019. Signed a year and 3 mons later.

yes, the bump stock ban was terrible.

The '84 MG ban was far worse. It was based on the premise that you can tax anything you want, and then just refuse to allow anyone to pay it.

That precedent allows them to outlaw anything. We already pay taxes on almost everything. "The ammunition excise tax is still around, but we will no longer accept payment, so all sales are illegal".

But, again, I'll say Trump was the least bad POTUS we've had in decades. Who do you think was any better ? The guy who gave us the patriot act ? The guy who tried to federalize all health care ? The guy behind Waco and Ruby Ridge ?

I don't think any of them are better. They're all devious politicians. The only one who could have been better was exterminated in'63.

Pretty sure Trump was not invited to that party either. Pretty sure he crashed it.
