Scaling down to compact, and maybe 9mm

The EMP had my eye for a long time, 1911 controls, all metal, hammer fired, 9+1 capacity, and small. Good looking to boot. Comes with three mags..bonus. Out with the 45s for carry. BUT, if I do, down the road, feel the need, I'll bag a full sized 1911 for a range toy, although it seems I can never find the time to even go fishing these days.

I carry either an officers model 45 or a kimber micro 9 these days.

I have tons of pistols these days and even more holsters. The 2 pistols I mentioned are the ones I carry the rest are either range, competition or hone defense guns. My AR are good truck guns.

The Micro 9 was on my runner-up list. A plus was the sights, but I went for the greater capacity. I too had read/heard about QA/QC issues with Kimber, bottom line though...nice.
