Agreed none of us really know what happen and all we have to go on is what’s reported here and that doesn’t look good for her. I’d like to think I’d react better than her in that case.First, it appears that she DID drive away and was pursued.
Second, we have no idea what was said or transpired in the parking lot. It isn't out of the realm of possibility that she feared for her life or safety.
Third, it is alleged that she pointed it. Maybe that happened, maybe it didn't. It's a certainty that she didn't fire.
Fourth, my main point is that for all our bitching and complaining about these laws, we're all too ready to hang people out to dry if the reporting casts them in any sort of a bad light. We talk a good game on the internet, but any one of us could be in this exact position tomorrow if our judgement and actions aren't 100% on point.
ETA: I agree - she's fucked. But maybe, in just world, she shouldn't be. None of us really know, but most posters here seem to have crucified her already.
That was signed by Bill, but it was written by Biden.Per slick Willy clinton, yes.
She knew there was an officer at the school ? How much road rage was she experiencing ... It seems she was being pursued ,so how much fear of her life was she inThe only issue I have with this is the staying on the car aspect. Standing still they are a metal coffin. Hindsight being 20/20, driving to the nearest political station if she felt threatened may have been a better choice
That's the key in a just state ( unlike NYS). It's entirely her perception, in that instant, as to whether she and she alone was in fear for her life. Understanding there are other circumstances to meet the legal definition of actions under article 35, the basis remains that its entirely her perception of the situation. She knew there was an officer at the school ? Fun fact: the driveway into the local police station is literally less than 100 yards up the road from the school parking lot driveway that she turned into (same side of the road even!). You can just about throw a rock from the school parking lot and hit the cop station. Seriously. The only issue I have with this is the staying on the car aspect. A police station on Maiden Lane? Haha I lived on other side of Barnard Exempts for 12 years and I don’t remember that being there
