Schumer Announces Renewed Push to Overhaul Election Law​

(Bloomberg) -- Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said he will tee up a floor vote for Wednesday on advancing a Democrat-drafted overhaul of U.S. election laws, a move that is likely to be blocked by Republicans and set up another confrontation over whether to alter or end the filibuster.

“We cannot allow conservative-controlled states to double down on their regressive and subversive voting bills,” Schumer wrote. “The Freedom to Vote Act is the legislation that will right the ship of our democracy and establish common sense national standards to give fair access to our democracy to all Americans.”

The legislation is designed to counter a record number of new voting restrictions emerging from Republican-led state legislatures. Democrats say the GOP proposals aim to curtail participation by minorities and poorer Americans. The bill, dubbed the Freedom to Vote Act, reflects a compromise reached last month by Democrats, after Republicans blocked a much broader voter access bill in June and again in August.

Chucky (upchuck) schemer has introduced the Freedom to Cheat Voting act. In a attempt to make cheating easier, to insure socialists win every "election", Upchuck is trying to convince 80 million Americans that their vote is worthless, and they should just stay home on election day.

He also stated that minorities are far to stupid to get ID's, so showing a ID to vote won't be necessary.

I'm confused, people need to be able to register at 16, so they can vote asap when they are 18. But also, people need to be able to register on election day to vote for that election.

Getting them registered at 16 is the first step to getting them to vote at 16. "See, they are already registered and are conscientious Americans".

Letting them register the day of the election is the first step in allowing the politicians the ability to defraud the country.

The only way to get them to secure the election is to out cheat them at it.

When every rural precinct in California has 100% turnout and CA goes for Trump in 2024, suddenly the Democrats will be appalled at how easy it is to cheat our system and they will demand secure elections.

Nothing confusing about it. You see, in their minds, if a vote is cast by a "registered" voter it is a legal vote. Any attempt to question its validity is voter suppression. And, of course, the media goes along with it with zeal. Here in NY you don't need anything to register to vote except a signature saying you affirm the all the info is true. I have always said voter fraud begins with registration. In all of the so called audits, no one looked at the "postage bills" paid to the US Post Office. They need to match up the printing bills paid to the mailing list used to the postage bills paid. There they will find the smoking gun.

If that's the standard of evidence they want to use, make them apply it universally.

Looking for voter fraud in a system that's designed not to be able to detect it is a fools errand.

That's like saying there is no corruption in Washington because nobody is ever convicted.

Before you can find the fraud, you have to build a system that can detect it.

I remember when scientists wondered if there were many planets around other stars. Until we had the systems in place to find them anyone suggesting they were very common was looked at like they were writing bad scifi.
