They're using the "ghost gun" propaganda now, because the "Iron Pipeline" propaganda was eclipsed by the "Fast and Furious" debacle. They had to come up with a new propaganda campaign that didn't have connotations of government malfeasance.
What I find interesting is if you challenged a premise like this in court about something that "could" happen... You would be found to have no standing to challenge the law because, well, nothing happened "yet"... But legislators are allowed a free pass the create law to combat imaginary ghosts (pun intended)...
Laws of necessity, prevention of criminal acts, etc...
How is a law validated when there is no support to provide substance to it? How many ghost guns have been confiscated from criminals? What is the context, ie, gangs, etc.? How do you make a law for something that hasn't happened, are we now following "minority report" methodology? Same litmus should have been applied to the so called "Safe Act"! And now years passed, how has gun crime statistics changed in NY? Bet ya' that it's very little... Any talk of repeal? Lol, of course not.
Because CRIMINALS don't obey the LAW! And legislating some laws, by designs such as this, have only the intent to "control" the otherwise law abiding public and Defacto Restrict their exercising of their 2A Rights.
How many ghost guns helped us defeat the British and secure our freedom? I don't see anywhere where the founders intended the government needs to make sure our arms are marked, registered, and traceable. These "leaders" couldn't care less about regulating and tracking illegal immigrants... only about registering them as Democrat voters.
