.223 Rem
I have a Remington 700 in .243 with a Nikon 2.5-10x50 scope. Yesterday I went to Blue Mountain to the 200 yard range. I don't know if it was just the day or what but my eyes were not up to par yesterday. I was having a little trouble seeing the dark part of the target through the scope. I switched to the white part of the target where they write the corresponding number to your table. I started shooting in the belly of the number 5 and did much better. I wear glasses but with the type of prescription I have I can't wear them to look through the scope. The images are blurry with my glasses on.
I was looking at the Nikon Monarch 5 5-20x50 ED non illuminated scopes. I know the higher the magnification the darker the image is but it may be time to go with a higher magnification if I want to hit my intended target.
Anyone have any experience with these higher magnification ED Nikon Monarch scopes? Is the image still bright at the higher magnifications?
