Scope Help

I'm thing about getting a 1-4 power scope and am considering either the Bushnell Dropzone or the Vortex Crossfire II. I'm also not sure about going for the illuminated reticle.

This is going on an AR that will be used primarily as a range toy. Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated.

Never thought I would use the illuminated function on a few of my scopes, Til I was shooting at larger dark targets. It made it easier to put the cross hair on the center.

Can't say I have a 1-4x but I am satisfied with my vortex scope as well as a magnifier I have of theirs.
