I am willing to bet that if we had a time machine and went back to the day before the shooting and raised this question Pederson and most (all?) of the police officials would have insisted on a gun free zone. They would have said there is no need for anyone to have a gun on campus because they were there to offer protection. Now after the shooting they all come out and say it's not their job to protect people. Fine. Get rid of gun free zones and let teachers or other adults carry.

The gun free zones + police officers not stopping murdering defenseless children and people is criminal all the way from the top of those who passed
the laws to those who enforce them. A paper can say whatever but this is the type of injustice we have to fight with everything we got
all the way to the supreme court. Sue the school system, the state, the PD, the governors and those who supported this, every single
mother fucker. They all have resources and security details for them.

I think most leo's would have gone in to protect those kids even though there not obligated to. though I'm not a lawyer it seems to me that 1 of the reason's for the no obligation clause is that people were suing the local PD's for not protecting them and winning so to protect themselves they got this God auwfull thing passed.

Best thing that comes out of this, is that people wake up and realize the police are not your personal bodyguards. They have no obligation to protect you unless a special relationship is established ie a protective detail is ordered.
Perhaps this could finally change the minds of people who think otherwise.
