Soooooo, people are surprised and disappointed that the politburo has denied the Constitution its day in the sun.
But we do now have a new category of super citizens. The whacko's are gleeful that individual freedom has once again been denied.

I've seen this map. But it doesn't change the fact that Trump's substantial electoral win was in fact by a razor thin margin when you look at how he picked up those states. A shift in mere tens of thousands of votes and he would have lost a couple of key states and Cliton would be the president.

Yeah how does this work, so now a private christian school would have to hire a guy who starts wearing a dress to work and insists on being called Miranda? What if their religion (which used to be a protected class) has a problem with that?

That is assuming there wasn't already a shit ton of voter fraud being perpetrated by the dem's. They won't make that mistake twice.

What the map represents is why the electoral college is more important than majority rules voting. Yeah, a few thousand, or a few million, as I noted in California, which carried the majority for Clinton. But Trump took the electoral votes because of that map. The relationship to counties with 1,000 residents is arbitrary and doesn't matter. Can't use that in states like Wyoming or Alaska... Population density doesn't exist there. But their votes count! So you take an overall look at the expanse of Trump's support, not the count of votes and it's telling.

I was down in VA right before that last election, and was amazed at how many Trump flags were lawn and fence ornaments. But when you got to big cities, the edge swayed to Liberal Progressive Clinton. Won't be any different this time either IMO.

Fact is not everyone votes! And even in the Presidential election, you are not in the 70 percentile, even during WWII... So you can't quote numbers as being representative of the people because of the significant missing element (non voters). 2016 actually had a very low voter turnout, not even 56% of eligible voters showed up. 2012 had 60%, 2008 63% (respectively). Is why you keep hearing about getting those mail in ballots working, they want those votes, know that if voters turn out, they'll win. But the disenfranchised and others who are tired of the same old bullshit are obviously not participating. So back to the map... Is represents more than voter numbers by turnout, as the area that is of a particular political orientation is apparent.

Funny thing is I can bet the house on the fact that many of those TDS suffering koolaid drinkers didn't even fucking vote in the last election, and in all probability won't this time either. But they'll sit and cry and moan about how they're fucked, getting fucked, etc., and how the "Man" is out to get them.

I am beyond sick of the current times. With how crazy everything/everybody is right now, it seems like a good time to take control of the narrative. Why can't the normal people(not right wing) do that? In NY it is time to seek support of the upstate counties, to petition the state for redress of grievances, and give NY politicians one last chance to right this ship or be thrown off. It is our right, it is our duty.
